WhatsApp Users Can Now Send Quick Replies to Instant Video Messages: Here’s How

Good news for WhatsApp users worldwide: the Meta-owned instant messaging platform is rolling out a new feature that allows users to quickly reply to instant video messages. Currently, this feature is available to some beta testers who have installed the latest updates of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store. It will be extended to more users over the coming days.

According to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp updates, the Meta-owned app is focusing on introducing more features for video messages to enhance user interaction. “With the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.14.5 update, available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is rolling out a feature to quickly reply to instant video messages,” the report states.

A screenshot shared in the report shows a new shortcut next to video messages for some beta testers who have installed the latest beta versions of the app. This shortcut streamlines the reply process, enabling users to respond to specific video messages quickly.

Previously, users had to manually reply to a message by opening the message menu or using the usual gesture before starting to record a new video. With this new feature, replying to video messages is now much quicker and more convenient, as users can instantly respond with a video message by simply tapping the shortcut.

The new shortcut for replying to video messages offers significant benefits. It speeds up the reply process and enhances the user experience by allowing users to quickly record and send video notes, keeping the conversation flowing smoothly. This saves time and simplifies communication, eliminating the need to navigate through several steps to respond to a specific video message with a new video note.
