Legendary veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai for shortness of breath, was discharged today after successful pleural surgery. The 98-year-old actor has been treated since Sunday at the Hinduja Hospital in the suburbs, which is based in Car, a non-COVID-19 facility. He was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion — excess fluid accumulation between layers of the outer pleura of the lungs.
Faisal Faruki, a friend of the actor’s family, used social media to check the news. “For your blessings and prayers, Dilip Sahab goes home from the hospital. The official Twitter handle update was posted by Faisal Faruki, a friend of Kumar’s family.
