TVS Motor Company has sent you a media ride invitation for its new product to be held in Hosur on September 14, 2021. The invitation teases a new model inverted C-shaped headlamp with the caption “Turn Your RADOn”. The company hasn’t disclosed details of the new product yet, but it’s likely a sportier version of the Apache RTR 160 4V. The company recently filed a trademark application for the TVS Apache RTR 165RP nameplate. I think it may be a new product scheduled to be released next week. read – 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 – Dynamic Kit and Race Kit Description
The TVS Apache RTR 165 RP (Race Performance) can be driven by a revolving version of a 159.7cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine boosted with fuel injection technology. The standard model provides the equivalent of 17.63bhp and 14.73Nm of torque, but its sporty variations may have been tuned to provide slightly higher torque. Overall performance is also expected to be better than the Apache RTR 160 4V.
You can make some cosmetic changes to the upcoming Apache RTR 165RP. The handlebars are slightly lower and may have an ergonomic design. The foot pegs may also be slightly offset to the rear. We were able to maintain a suspension setup that included a telescopic fork and a Showa-adjusted preload adjustable monoshock unit on the rear.
Higher versions of the Apache RTR 160 4V come with petal discs on both ends, and the base version has drum brakes on the back. Both models are equipped with single channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). TVS’s new Apache RTR 165 RP may benefit from dual channel ABS.
