The new MacBook Pro may have this unexpected iPhone-like feature.Everything we know

Within hours, Apple will announce a new MacBook Pro laptop with a more powerful chip, an update for the Mac mini, and an updated iteration for AirPods. All eyes are on laptops that have been upgraded within a year of receiving “Apple Silicone” with a more powerful version of the homemade processor from Cupertino’s tech giant. After the huge success of the Apple M1 chip last year, the interior could be thoroughly debated throughout the tech world. However, laptops are now equipped with a display notch, one interesting design element that was first seen on another Apple device a few years ago.

Apple iPhone X is a device that has introduced display cutouts around the world and has begun a trend that is sweeping the smartphone industry. Similar cutouts will be seen on future Apple MacBook Pros, according to information shared on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo.

The tipster TiAmo claimed that the notch on the display would be “similar to that of the iPhone 12.” This notch is said to have a 1080p webcam, a True Tone sensor, and a microphone. Informed rendering provides a borderline display with a minimal bezel.

Weibo’s post further claimed that the panel on the new MacBook Pro would be a 1,000-knit bright mini LED. The controversial touch bar will be removed, but Touch ID will be retained, making the entire body more square, flatter, and thicker. The new laptop will have more USB Type-C slots, an HDMI port, a microSD card slot, and a MagSafe charging port.

The tipster further claimed that the larger of the two MacBook Pros coming out today would be a “significantly enhanced dual fan” setup for heat dissipation. This may be due to significant performance improvements in the new M-series processors that Apple plans to launch on computers.

So far, we know that the new Apple MacBook Pro will be introduced with 14-inch and 16-inch screens. These panels are likely to be Liquid Retina XDR displays with the potential for 120Hz ProMotion. Using the improved SoC can also improve battery performance.

The biggest changes happen internally as Apple uses second-generation, more powerful M-series chips to power these laptops, primarily for professionals. According to a recent report, Apple will announce a chip named M1 Pro or M1 Max. Previous details have shown that the APU may be called the M1X. The new chiplet will have up to 16 performance cores and 16 or 32 GPU cores.

Other reports make similar claims, but after today’s Apple Unleashed, they’re all likely to prove wrong. Therefore, for at least a few hours, if you intend to believe in a little salt, it is advisable to drink a little salt.
