On the day of Anant Chaturdashi, the story of Anant Chaturdashi is told while bathing and worshiping Sir Vishnu. Anant Sutra is made from turmeric, kumkum and saffron cotton yarn with 14 sacred knots. After creating the scriptures, the mantras of Sir Vishnu’s Atutayanama, Anantayanama and Govindeinama will also be provided.

Sir Vishnu’s Prasad or “Anant Sutra”, considered a blessing, must be removed at night, set aside and immersed in a holy river or lake the next day. If you can’t soak the next day, you’ll need to wear Anant Sutra for 14 days. If the Anant Sutra is not soaked after 14 days, the person must wear this Sutra all year round and wait for the opportunity to come again.

The most important aspect of celebrating “Anant Chaturdashi” is the worship of Lord Vishnu at 14 knots. The 14 knot thread is considered the symbol of Sir Vishnu’s 14 avatars. The Anant Sutra is tied to the right hand as Sir Vishnu’s Prasad.
