In July 2020, Param Bir Singh issued an order to relocate 10 DCPs in Mumbai.
Waze said in a statement that then-Ministers of Interior Deshmukh and Parab were not happy with the transfer order issued by Singh.
“Later I learned that a total of 40 rupees had been collected from the police officers listed in the transfer order, of which 20 rupees were given to Anildeshumuk and Anilparab, respectively,” Waze claimed. ..
In addition to the arrested duo (Palande and Shinde), the invoice filed in the money laundering case nominates Waze as the accused. However, neither NCP leader Deshmukh nor his family was nominated as a defendant in the indictment.
Palande and Shinde are currently in judicial detention in this case.
Mumbai police aide Waze was arrested in March of this year in connection with an explosive-the SUV was found to have been parked near the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani in South Mumbai.
The charge sheet states that Palande and Shinde played an important role in the money laundering case.
The central agency said the investigation revealed that Deshmukh had called Waze to hand over the money collected from bars and restaurants. For example, between January and February 2021, Waze handed 16 bags containing 4.6 rupees to Shinde, and Palande was instrumental in handing the instructions of the NCP leader to Waze.
The ED began investigating Deshmukh and his associates after the CBI filed a FIR with the NCP leader on April 21 following a alleged corruption by Param Bir Singh.
Shin was replaced as a commissioner of the Mumbai Police in March this year, and Deshumuk resigned as minister in April.
