South Korea has new daily highs for 2 consecutive days

Seoul: South Korea has reported 1,842 newly identified coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, breaking the pandemic’s one-day record for the second consecutive day.
The incident announced on Thursday increased the country’s total number of incidents to 184,103, killing 2,063 people in Covid-19.
The new incident includes 270 sailors who recently returned home after a major outbreak on a destroyer engaged in anti-piracy missions off the coast of East Africa.
In South Korea, infections have skyrocketed in recent weeks as vaccination campaigns are slow, public alerts are loose, and more contagious delta variants are widespread.
The number of cases per day in this country has exceeded 1,000 for 16 consecutive days.
Health officials say they are discussing whether to extend the strictest distance restrictions imposed on the densely populated metropolitan area of Seoul.
