The government announced on Monday that it had raised 56.62 lactone paddy fields for more than Rs 11,000 so far during the current Harif marketing season.

Harif Marketing Season (KMS) 2021-22 runs from October to September.

The Food Corporation of India (FCI) is a government node agency for the procurement and distribution of edible grains.

According to the official statement, “By October 17, 2021, KMS2021-22 had procured more than 56.62 lactones of paddy fields.”

Procurement took place in Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and UT.

“The Harif Marketing Season at MSP (KMS) 2021-22 has recently begun and has benefited 371919 farmers with an MSP value of 11,099.25 rupees,” the statement said.
