Subsequent meetings between the Assam State Government and SIDBI made some very important decisions.

Salma, presenting his views at the conference, said that under the current venture, efforts should be made to create a cluster to promote one district one product initiative, which is also the prime minister’s vision. .. Under this fund, the critical gap between infrastructure and logistics will be closed and the products identified in each district will be promoted for export. He also said that SIDBI had long been associated with the state, but its expansion and footprint were limited.

He also said that the state’s legal and order situation was improved without problems of rebellion, helping the state to take a more collaborative approach with SIDBI in promoting, financing and developing the state’s MSME sector. He said he presented a good environment.

Salma also called on SIDBI to promote a culture of innovation and help allocate startup funds to support startup ventures in the state. He also urged SIDBI to help Assam’s self-help groups promote and develop the SHG culture for self-development.

At the request of the Prime Minister, SIDBI has agreed to partner with the state government to establish an innovation fund to promote start-ups in Assam. SIDBI also agrees to this proposed fund and uses its venture capital subsidiary to manage the fund. SIDBI also agreed to support and promote SHGs in the state and bring them into the formal economic sector at the corporate level.

Salma also expressed hope that SIDBI will emerge more and more in Assam, as state government policies are so friendly to its growing role in the state. However, he said all these development initiatives have been featured in SIDBI to ensure that all sections of the people can enjoy the results of their development.

Raman gave a presentation focusing on SIDBI’s expertise and services that can bring a paradigm shift to the state’s development story.

Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce KKDwivedi also gave a detailed presentation on the existing status of the Assam MSME sector and the scope of SIDBI to work with the state government to promote state development.
