Shikhar Dhawan leads India on Sri Lanka tour, Bvneswar Kumar takes over for him | Cricket News

New Delhi: Opening round Shikhar Dhawan will be appointed captain of the Indian team on Thursday and will travel to Sri Lanka for a limited over tour next month, with pacemaker Buvneswar Kumar acting for him.
India will clash with Sri Lanka in three One Day International and Twenty20 matches on a tour starting July 13th and ending July 25th at R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
The Indian Cricket Commission has nominated a team of 20 members with all-rounder Hardik Pandya and a spin duo of Kurdeep Yadaf and Yuzvendra Chahar.
Young guns like Devdutt Padikkal and Prithvi Shaw are expected to appear in teams with two wicket-keeper batters in young Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson.
