The Center will withhold counseling for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG until the Supreme Court reaches a decision on the validity of the Center’s decision to introduce OBC and EWS reservations in the All India Quota (AIQ). You are instructed.
SC Bench, led by Judge DY Chandrachud, said NEET-PG counseling would not begin without its approval, as the court is considering denying the center’s medical admission decision.
Bench observed that if the counseling process went according to schedule, students would face serious problems. The Supreme Court was informed that it was announced that counseling would begin on October 25th.
In response, the Center ensured that the counseling process would not resume until the Supreme Court made a decision.
The center’s guarantee began this year, with senior attorney Arvind Dattar, who appeared on some NEET candidates, challenged the July 29 notice before the court decided on a batch of pending petitions. Introducing reservations, ending enrollment and creating serious prejudice for students.
The Supreme Court has heard a series of pleas to challenge the Center and Medical Counseling Commission (MCC) notice on July 29.
In the July 29 notice, under the influence of current scholars, 27% for OBC and 10% for EWS category on 15% UG and 50% PG All India Quota sheets (MBBS / BDS and MD / MS / MDS). Reservations will be provided. Session 2021-22.
