Rozy, South Korea, the first virtual influencer created as a 22-year-old girl, has already made a lot of money for its creator, Sidus Studio X. According to Baek Seung Yeop, CEO of Sidus Studio X, it’s the end of the year, according to the US-based K-pop blog.
Yeop said Rozy received eight exclusive contracts and over 100 sponsorships.
Rozy is a virtual human created by Sidus Studio X last August using 3D manipulation technology by collecting face data that was popular among the MZ generation. Her age has remained unchanged at 22 and since December 2020 she has been actively involved in social media as a “real human”.
She has over 69,000 followers on Instagram.
There is a huge Rozy Syndrome throughout the retail industry, including the food, fashion and beauty industries, and she currently boasts 100 sponsorships. The virtual influencer market is expected to grow to 14 trillion won within five years along with the Metaverse trend, and marketing strategies using virtual humans in particular are expected to expand globally. Model Han Hee-jin, Jang Yoon-ju, and singer Lee Hyori’s agency ESteam are in charge of managing Rozy.
Talking to the publication, Yeop has informed that he has not yet been able to handle all sponsorships. He added that virtual humans like Rozy are gaining popularity because they can avoid privacy scandals.
Rozy, Korea’s first virtual influencer, is not old and will earn 6 rupees this year.
