We have previously announced that Royal Enfield is working on a new scrambler version of the Himalayan motorcycle. This new motorcycle, called the RE Scrum 411, is reportedly more affordable than the Adventure brothers. According to a new media report, the new Scram 411 Scrambler will be available in the first quarter of 2022, probably in February.
The new RE Scram 411 was found several times on Indian roads during testing. In fact, clay models of motorcycles have also been leaked on the Internet. Road-oriented and more affordable models have a more scrambler-like design. Royal Enfield modifies its appearance to give the Himalayas a scrambler feel.
The clay model image shows that the motorcycle misses the windshield, side skeletons and luggage racks. Instead of the large 21-inch front wheels, the RE Scrum 411 comes with an 18-inch one. Motorcycles also miss the front fork gaiters.
The new RE Scram 411 features a new headlamp cowl, side shrouds and a new front mudguard. The rear LED tail light is the same as the regular model. The motorcycle has the potential to carry the same 411cc single-cylinder engine that powers the Himalayas. This air-cooled engine produces 24.3bhp output and 32Nm of torque. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Royal Enfield is currently working on a more powerful version of the Himalayas. This version is currently under development at the UK Development Center. The new engine is said to be able to produce an output of about 30bhp.
