Poco F3 may be launched as a rebranded Redmi K40 for the global market, with multiple certification tips

The newly launched Redmi K40 series has the potential to debut as a Poco smartphone for the global market. According to the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) list, Poco smartphones with model number M2012K11AG and FCC ID 2AFZZK11AG were certified on January 31, 2021. The same model number was previously associated with the Redmi K40 launched in China last month. At the beginning of February, Poco phones with the same model number appeared in the IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority) and IMEI databases, suggesting that they were also launched in India. Therefore, it could mean that the Redmi K40 will be launched as a Poco F3 (or other Monica) for the global market. The development was initially discovered by Tarekomi Abhishek Yadav and shared through a Twitter post.

The FCC list doesn’t highlight the notable specs of the Poco phone (probably the Poco F3), except for the presence of the Android 11-based MIUI 12. On the other hand, the IMDA database lists features such as 5G connectivity, Bluetooth and Wi-. Fi. Currently, Poco has not yet officially announced the development of Poco F3. In particular, the Poco F2 Pro, which debuted worldwide in May 2020, was a rehashed version of the Redmi K30 Pro, which was first launched in China in March 2020. Neither phone was released in India.

If your guesses about the rebranded version of Poco F3, the Redmi K40, are accurate, you can expect features such as a 6.67-inch Full HD + (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone may also have a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel macro shooter. For selfies, there may be a 20-megapixel shooter in the hole punch cutout. The Poco F3 may also have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, a 4,520mAh battery, and at least 6GB of RAM. The price of the Redmi K40 in China starts from RMB 1,999 (about Rs 22,500) with the basic 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model.
