Pakistan announced on Monday the start of a multinational air force exercise, Ace Meet 2021-1, at a private operational air force base.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF), US Air Force (USAF) are participating in the game, and Bahrain, Egypt, and Jordanian Air Force are invited as observers.

At the opening ceremony, Maj. Gen. Wakas Ahmed Sleri, Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Staff of the PAF, attended as a guest of honor.

To the exercise participants, Sulheri said that the international exercise was not new, but the specific cycle of “ACES Meet” was due to the participants’ extensive experience in anti-terrorism and combat operations in the compound flight zone. He said it was unique.

The ceremony was attended by military attachés in Jordan and Saudi Arabia and military attachés in the US Air Force.

The exercise will continue for two weeks with the aim of maximizing the combat readiness of the participating units.
