Novak Djokovic faces deportation after the Australian government cancels his visa again

Australian Immigration Minister Alex Hawke said Serbs’ participation in the Australian Open is suspicious as they exercised their discretion to revoke Novak Djokovic’s visa again.

His participation in the 2022 Australian Open was questionable as the Australian government canceled the visa for Novak Djokovic, the world’s number one tennis player, twice on Friday.

Immigration Minister Alex Hawke used his discretion to cancel Djokovic’s visa again after the court broke the previous revocation and released Djokovic from immigration detention on Monday.

“Today, I have exercised the authority to revoke the visa that Novak Djokovic held for health and order reasons under Section 133C (3) of the Immigration Law.
