NCPEDP Launches Legal Assistance Helpline for Persons with Disabilities – India Education | Global Education | Education News

New Delhi: India’s leading cross-disability advocacy organization, the National Center for Employment Promotion of Persons with Disabilities (NCPEDP), has launched a legal assistance helpline to address legal dissatisfaction and questions of persons with disabilities throughout India.

If you need legal advice or action to move forward, please call the helpline number + 91-7303944839 or send an email to secretariat @ ncpedp.org.

All questions are directed to a panel of supporters who contact the person seeking advice. In addition to consultation, a legal representative will be provided as needed.

NCPEDP Secretary-General Arman Ali has been on the helpline since its official launch a month ago from people with disabilities who have been seeking advice on a variety of legal and fundamental rights infringement issues. He said he receives at least 10-15 calls a day. ..

Some of these issues include workplace discrimination, such as denial of employment, denial of promotion, and denial of admission to educational institutions.
