The car looks ready for production and may be delayed due to the global semiconductor crisis, but it could be launched in 2022.

The new S-Class variation features a twin turbo V8 with an electric motor.

Mercedes and its parent Daimler are already working on the future of all electricity. IAA Mobility unveiled the first AMG branded EV based on EQS. But before that full transition takes place, it will also invest some of its energy in plug-in hybrid vehicles. Currently, AMG S63e has been found wearing a full-body camouflage wrap. It also hides the AMG brand and the anterior and posterior fascia. That said, this image from Motor.es vividly looks at the new Mercedes, which hasn’t been announced yet.

Several designs have been upgraded compared to the standard S-Class, and the bumper styling has changed. There are also dual rear fender caps for gas and hybrid plugs that are not visible in these spy shots. Details of the powertrain have not yet been announced, but it is believed that Mercedes plans to pair the twin-turbo V8 architecture with an electric motor that is said to have a total output of about 690bhp.

There may be a more powerful variant of the 789 bhp, which could be called the S73e. You may also get an automatic transmission that powers your all-wheel drive system.

At first glance, the car looks ready for production and may be delayed due to the global semiconductor crisis, but could be launched in 2022. The car probably has the best technology Mercedes offers, including the MBUX system.

Mercedes plans to roll out an AMG S-class based on a fully electric powertrain and Maybach SUV, but these cars are years away, so this new plug-in model is a temporary measure. There is a possibility.
