Maruti Suzuki’s February sales increased 11.8% to 1,64,469 units

New Delhi: On Monday, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), the country’s largest car maker, reported that wholesale volume in February increased by 11.8% to 1,64,469 units.
Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement that the company sold 1,47,110 units in February last year.
He added that domestic sales last month increased by 11.8% to 1,52,983 units, compared to 1,36,849 units in February 2020.
Sales of mini vehicles, including the Alto and Espresso, fell 12.9% from 27,499 in the same month of the previous year to 23,959.
Sales of compact segment vehicles such as the Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno and Desire increased 15.3% to 80,517 units, up from 69,828 units in February last year.
However, sales of the Ciaz midsize sedan fell 40.6% from 2,544 in February 2020 to 1,510.
According to MSI, sales of multipurpose vehicles such as the Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and Ertiga increased by 18.9% to 26,884 units, up from 22,604 units in the same month of the previous year.
According to the company, exports in February increased by 11.9% to 11,486 units, up from 10,261 units in the same month of the previous year.
