In volatile trading, the Indian market is showing a smart recovery. Both benchmark indices are trading flat with a negative bias, with the Sensex down more than 200 points and the Nifty testing at the 17300 level.
The NSE and BSE benchmark indices have recovered about 50 and 200 points from today’s daytime lows. Similarly, Nifty Bank, a major contributor to Nifty50, trades flat during the day, moving back and forth between the red and green zones.

At around 1:16 pm, the BSE Sensex fell 64 points (0.11%) to 58219, while the Nifty 50 fell almost 17 points (0.10%) to 17351 levels during the day today. .. On the contrary, the wider market is trading in a mix of medium-cap stocks, which fell 0.32 percent, and small-cap stocks, which rose 0.15 percent.
During the day of Nifty 50 today, 20 stocks are green, 29 stocks are red, and 1 stock has not changed. The Kotak Bank and Bajaj twins are the fastest-pulling markets between 1.5-2.5% during the day, followed by FMCG’s leading Tata Consumer and ITC stocks.
Power Grid is the fastest-growing otherwise flat transaction, up almost 4%, followed by Nestle India, Divis Lab and Tech Mahindra, each up 1-2% today.
By sector, Nifty Auto and FMCG are dragging most of the market, each down 0.6-1% during the day, followed by FMCG and Metal. Meanwhile, Tuesday’s IT and pharmaceutical stocks are trading flat otherwise. Similarly, real estate and the media are affecting a wider market.
