Mamata Banerjee meets Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar in Mumbai

West Bengal Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit Mumbai on Tuesday to meet with Maharashtra Prime Minister Uddhav Thackeley and Nationalist Congress Party Prime Minister Sharad Powerle.

After confirming his visit to Mumbai, party spokesman Knar Gauche said Banerjee was a strong opposition to the BJP.

Banerjee may also visit Rajasthan in the first week of December after expanding the footsteps of Trina Mall in Goa, UP, Meghalaya, Tripla and Assam. Trinamool plans to fight future Goa Legislative polls. The party is also trying luck in the ongoing Tripla local elections.

Recently, Trinamool has succeeded in involving several “disillusioned” parliamentary leaders in its fold, including former Gore Prime Minister Luizinho Faleiro. In Meghalaya, 12 of the 18 parliamentary MLAs joined Trinamor and became the main opposition to the state legislature.

Prior to the 2024 Lok Sabha poll, Banerjee is in talks with various opposition parties following the victory in the West Bengal Legislature election earlier this year to unite the opposition against the BJP.

During her two-day visit to Mumbai, the Prime Minister of West Bengal may also meet with several business managers for an investment in the state.
