New Delhi: The National Institutes of Medical Sciences (NIUM) and the National Institute of Siddha (NIS), autonomous bodies under the province of Ayush, provide quality education and medical services in their respective fields. The Yunani Medical Research Council (CCRUM) and the Siddha Research Central Council (CCRS) research councils are taking various initiatives to promote research activities in Yunani medicine and Siddha medicine. The Indian Medical Systems Commission (NCISM) was established under the National Commission of Indian Medical Systems Act, including the Boards of Unani, Siddha and Sowarikupa, for the purposes set out in Article 26 of the 2020 NCISM Act. I did.

The ministry has issued a bulletin notice to promote research on COVID-19 via the Ayush (including Unani & Siddha) system nationwide. The scope of this notice includes quarantine of COVID-19, preventative measures and interventions for asymptomatic and symptomatic cases for the purpose of generating scientific evidence. So far, 13 studies of Siddha and 08 studies of Unani have been carried out by the Research Council and the National Institute.

The Ministry of AYUSH has developed guidelines for UNANI and SIDDHA practitioners for COVID-19 patients in home isolation.

Under an agreement with the Ministry of AYUSH, we will work closely with WHO to develop international standard terminology documents, develop practice and training benchmarks, and carry out various activities such as the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) on the Unani and Siddha pharmaceutical systems. Has started.

Bangalore’s existing National Institute of Unani Medical Satellite Center is located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The established institute provides quality education and medical services to the masses.
