Indian high-speed bowler Jaspari Bumura enjoys a small break in the UK after the busy season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 in the United Arab Emirates with Mumbai Indians.
Bumura’s campaign at IPL 2021 ended earlier this month. Defending champion MI crashed on the league stage after finishing just outside the top four in fifth place with 7-7.
Bumura is currently in Manchester with his wife, San Janaganesan, who was part of the broadcast team covering IPL2021.
The Star Couple visited The Theater of Dreams, the home of Manchester United and the UK’s largest stadium with a capacity of nearly 75,000 seats. Bumura even got a personalized Manchester United jersey with his number 93 and name printed on his back.
“I’m honored to meet you at Old Trafford in Jaspari,” Manchester United posted on social media with photos of Bumura and Sanjana.
Bumura was one of the outstanding performers of the Mumbai Indians, winning 21 wickets in 14 games this season. He is currently the third tallest bowler of the season.
The 27-year-old will join the Indian national team at the T20 World Cup in the UAE. India made one change to its 15-man team on Wednesday by replacing the all-rounder Axor Patel with Shardal Takul.
India will launch a campaign with rival Pakistan at Dubai International Stadium on October 24th. The 2007 champion will also face Afghanistan and New Zealand, along with two Group 2 qualifiers.
The top four teams from each Super 12 group will advance to the knockout stage.
