The long-awaited sequel to Warner Bros.’s 2018 superhero hit Aquaman is entitled “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”
Filmmaker James Wan, who directed the first part, led by Jason Momoa, shared the news on an Instagram post Thursday.
Wang posted an image from a production conference featuring the title “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” which looks like a potential logo for the movie. “The tide is full,” he captioned the photo.
“Aquaman” featured Momoa as Arthur Curry, also known as Aquaman. Aquaman led Atlantis’ underwater kingdom in an attempt to prevent his half-brother, King Ohm, from uniting the seven underwater kingdoms to destroy the earthly world. ..
Released in December 2018, the film has exceeded US $ 1 billion in worldwide box office revenue. The sequel also shows that Amber Heard is back as Mela and Patrick Wilson is back as Ohm. Wang is producing with Peter Safran, and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick is back to rewrite the script. The release date for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is December 16, 2022.
