Israel says it will transfer about one million doses of the soon-to-be-expired coronavirus vaccine to the Palestinian Authority.

Under the agreement announced on Friday, the PA will transfer the dose to Israel once it receives the dose from the United Nations Assistance Program for Vaccination of Poor Countries.

Israel, which has vaccinated about 85% of the adult population, faces criticism that it does not share the vaccine with the occupied West Bank and Palestinians in Gaza.

The agreement was announced by the new Israeli government, which was sworn in on Sunday.
