Arindam Bagchi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA), said in a media briefing that he “wants to have normal relations with all neighboring countries, including Pakistan.”
He was answering the question.
“Pakistan has helped, including taking credible, verifiable and irreversible actions to prevent the territory under its control from being used for cross-border terrorism against India in any way. We must strive to create an atmosphere that is like that, “he said.
When asked about Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Cresi’s role in New Delhi in Afghanistan, Mr. Baguchi said India brought electricity and built dams, schools and medical infrastructure in the country.
“The world knows what Pakistan has brought to Afghanistan,” he said.
Bagchi said India supports the Afghanistan peace process and is in contact with various stakeholders, including regional countries.
