India today crosses the “1 billionth Covid Dose” milestone.Let’s look at the numbers

India could receive the billionth Covid-19 vaccine today, about nine months after the national program began in mid-January. Although vaccination movements have slowed slightly in October, so far about three-quarters of the country’s adult population have received at least the first vaccination, and 31% have been fully vaccinated. The Union Territory of Himachal and J & K has fully vaccinated the adult population.

However, a significant number of the most populous states are well below the national average. Compared to other countries, India is second only to China in absolute dose, but due to its large population, its coverage is low. Let’s look at the numbers.
