To commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 71st birthday on September 17, India set the world record for the largest number of COVID jabs in a day. According to the data available at CoWIN, India was receiving more than 250 million rupees of vaccine. Meanwhile, the country has also won the title of “World’s Fastest Vaccine Drive” today by jabing 466 doses per second. Federal Health Minister Mansuf Mandaviya greeted the citizens of the country and called the outcome the “golden chapter” of history. The country surpassed China’s highest record of 247 million rupees, which inoculated the most people a day. The Prime Minister also praised the efforts of national health workers.
