Relaxation at the Covid Curb in Himachal Pradesh saw people from neighboring states planning a quick escape to the hills to get some rest from the rising temperatures.

Himachal Pradesh is witnessing a flood of tourists after the state government has decided to abolish the requirement for negative RT-PCR reporting.

I saw a lot of cars lined up at the Parwanu border, where people who had to enter the state had to be registered.

On Friday, the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet decided to increase the opening timing from June 14th to 9am to 5pm. However, it remains closed on weekends.

The state has abolished the mandatory RT-PCR reporting requirement to enter the state. However, the state’s curfew lasts daily from 5 pm to 5 am.

Tourism contributes significantly to the state’s economy. The second wave struck an influx of tourists.
