Jaipur: Constant rain blocked some areas of Boondi, but did not prevent health teams hired by Covid vaccination from reaching difficult areas. Healthcare workers walked streams, climbed hills, and gave beneficiaries the coveted jabs.

Rajambala’s assistant nurse midwife (ANM) in Darakanaya village broke her right hand after she slipped. The doctor used plaster for healing. “I slipped and broke my hand on a rainy day four days ago. Due to the constant rain, I had to cross a stream, and the area connecting the villages became muddy, making it difficult to ride a motorcycle. It has become difficult to reach that area, “says Bara.

A fleet of doctors, nurses and ASHA workers is working hard in rural areas to expand the coverage of the Covid vaccine.

According to Rose, 870 people in her area are eligible for vaccination and have so far more than 850 beneficiaries. This represents about 98% of her area. Boondi is one of the areas that has had heavy rains in the last few days. During the rain, it was difficult to reach the Keshpra and Belpra areas of the Ramgarbish Dali Wildlife Sanctuary, which belongs to the Adash Primary Health Center Davrana in Boondi.

Dr. Srinath Soni, posted on the Doublerana PHC, said: We expanded the hill and arrived at a village where at least 1,500 beneficiaries of the Covid vaccine live in the area.

In some difficult areas, nurses and doctors are endangering their lives while ensuring that vaccination drives continue to move. Boondi is one of the top districts with successful Covid vaccinations.
