HCL Tech will have about 22,000 new students this year

Many tech majors have announced plans to add more employees in the January-March 2022 quarter. Starting with HCL Technologies Ltd, which decided to actively increase hiring this year, we have hired more than 20,000 to 22,000 new employees.

Citing HCL Technologies’ submission, Livemint reported that the decision was made after demand for technology services continued to outpace supply. With a net increase of 10,143 during the quarter and a total headcount of 197,777, we were hired at a vigorous pace.

HCL Technologies is not the only IT giant to make this move. TCS, Infosys and Wipro have further announced that they will hire more than Rs 10,000 during the year and will continue to hire in 2022. TCS, Infosys, and Wipro revealed that they hired a record Rs. 17,000 last year while announcing the results for the third quarter. This big surge occurs during the gradual transition of India to digital in the COVID-19 pandemic.

While announcing its December 2021 results, Infosys has announced that it will hire 55,000 new employees in 2022 to support its growth ambitions under its global appreciation program.

Meanwhile, Wipro has set a goal of hiring 30,000 new employees in 2023. This is because IT majors want supply to be unconstrained in managing strong market demand. We would like to hire about 17,500 people in 2022.

The TCS hasn’t announced a specific number of new hires to hire, but the Tech giant has revealed that it will continue its aggressive hiring efforts. “The hiring intensity will continue, but there will be no specific number in the next quarter,” said Milind Lakkad, chief human resources officer. India’s largest software exporter recently touched on the milestone of having 200,000 employees.
