According to a recent report, the long-awaited Honda HR-V will make its global debut on February 18, 2021. Automakers are working on a new compact SUV that will be placed under the HR-V in the automaker’s stables. It is scheduled to be introduced by May 2021, but new media reports indicate that the upcoming SUV will be introduced by June next year. New models of SUVs are expected to hit the Indian coast by the end of this year or the beginning of 2021.
It is rumored to be called the Honda ZR-V. After its release, it will be comparable to Toyota Rays, Suzuki Crosby, Toyota Rays, Daihatsu Rocky, etc. In the Indian market, it is on par with Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. According to reports, the Japanese ZR-V has a length of 4,100 mm, a width of 1,695 mm, and a height of 1,600 mm. Nevertheless, the Indian model is placed less than 4 meters in length. Future models are expected to be based on the Amaze platform. Recent reports suggest that the new Honda Jazz platform may be used to develop new platforms. However, this makes car prices more sensitive in markets such as India and Indonesia.
Mechanically, the Honda ZR-V is reported to be propelled by a 1.0-liter VTEC turbo petrol mill. The mill also powers Thailand’s fifth-generation cities and Europe’s Civic. The engine can shred 129PS output and 180Nm torsional force. The engine offered in Citi develops 121bhp and 180Nm output and torque output. The engine is paired with a manual and a CVT gearbox. In addition, a 1.5-liter NA gasoline mill equipped with Honda’s compact hybrid system (e-HEV) will be offered. The hybrid system will also be offered in a new generation of international jazz. It will be available in the Indian City RS Hybrid and will hit the Indian coast in the coming months.
