Further cracks in the Taliban as Afghan administration Park Medling upsets international-faced Stanikzai

It is a well-known fact that the Taliban regime in Afghanistan is under considerable international pressure to adopt moderate avatars and introduce more compassion and modernity into their style of governance. Muslim groups often made the right turmoil — respecting women’s rights, forgiving those who fought them, and promising to prevent Afghanistan from being used as a base for terrorist attacks. But the world is on the lookout for that action and has been unsatisfactory so far. And the tension seems to prove too much. Sources told CNN-News18 that the Taliban’s internationally recognized face, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, had clearly informed the administration that global diplomatic expectations were being tightly controlled.

Afghanistan’s deputy foreign minister, who has not yet taken office, was one of the leading leaders in the Taliban’s international story and led the negotiations on a peace agreement with the United States in Doha.

According to sources, Stanikazai is angry with the current face of the Afghan administration and the interference of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in the process of government formation.

The Taliban’s Doha team has been completely marginalized within the Afghan government for Pakistan, sources say. This is because members of the infamous Haqqani network managed by ISI have won important posts in the Afghan administration and do not want a comprehensive government.

According to sources, Stanikzai left Doha on Sunday and arrived in Dubai after a recent meeting with the United States in the Qatar capital. The Taliban are seeking international recognition and help to avoid humanitarian disasters and mitigate the swirling economic crisis in Afghanistan, whose funding has been frozen by the United States and other countries.

The administration’s efforts to strengthen power have also been hit by a series of deadly attacks in the country by the Islamic State Korasan (ISIS-K) Group.

Sources also told CNN-News18 on Sunday that the Taliban confirmed the death of their elusive chief Hibatullah Akhundzada in a suicide bombing organized by Pakistani troops last year. Akhundzada had the final say in the Taliban on all political, military and religious issues.

CNN-News18 tried to contact a spokesperson for Stanikzai and the Taliban, but did not respond.
