After the acclaimed screen adaptation of her 2018 book “Normal People”, Sally Rooney’s debut novel “Conversations with Friends” also gets her own series. A24 Production will screen Dennis Johnson’s novel set in 1984 against the backdrop of the Nicaraguan Revolution. The story turned from a British oil businessman and an American journalist who became romantically connected to a prostitute. Joe Alwyn and Margaret Qualley will play the leading roles in this movie.
