New Delhi: Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Ayush, Shri Salvananda Sonoir today is the first batch of BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) courses at the Government Unani Medical College Hospital (GUMC & H) in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir. It was started. The event was celebrated in virtual mode by Shri Manoj Sinha, Vice Governor of UT J & K.
Previously, Shri Sonoir participated in a plantation drive of 71 medicinal plant saplings at the Unani Medical Area Studies Institute in Srinagar to commemorate Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 71st birthday.
Calling the start of the BUMS course a historic moment throughout UT, federal ministers said institutions would be of great help in promoting J & K’s UT’s unique medical system, especially the Unani medical system in the Kashmir region. He said the province of Ayush is determined to provide basic medical services to the people of the country.
Shri Sarbananda Sonowal congratulates the students enrolled in the first batch of BUMS, while saying that the Prime Minister is making a tireless effort for the development, peace and integrity of the whole country, with the same dedication to the students. He advised us to work with energy and bring glory to the whole. UT.
Federal ministers then toured the OPD block, the operating room block, the various laboratories in the hospital, and all the blocks in the academic building. There, federal ministers and other officers interacted with BUMS’s first batch of students.
Relatedly, Government Unani Medical College & Hospital Ganderbal was built with Rupee’s financial support. 17.00 rupees, Rs from AYUSH province under the former CSS scheme. 18.25 UT Croix from Government and Rs. Rs 388,200 under the national AYUSH mission for university management.
The college has an annual intake capacity of 60 BUMS students along with a 60-bed hospital. There are 07 clinical departments. Moalijat (medicine), Jarahat (surgery), Ain-Uzn-Anf-Halq (ophthalmology & ENT), Ilm-ul-Qabalatwa Niswan (obstetrics and gynecology), Ilmul Atfal (pediatrics), Amraz-Jild (dermatology), Ilaj bit At Tadbeer University.
During the visit, the Federal Ministers included Gandabal Chairman of the District Development Council, Nusat Ishfak, Special Secretary of the Ministry of AYUSH, Pramod Kumar Patak, Additional Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Education, Vivek Baldwaji, Vice-President of Gandabal, Kritika Jotsuna accompanied. Director AYSUSH, Director Mohan Singh, Director CCRUM, Asim Ali Khan, Director of Unani Medical College, Samia Rashid, SSP Panderbal and other stakeholders.
