Kupwara: District Development Commission (DDC) Kupwara Imam Din today convened a joint meeting of relevant executives and bankers to consider implementing a Targeted Financial Intervention Inclusion Program (TFIIP) in mission mode in the district. ..
The meeting was informed that the purpose and purpose of TFIIP was to secure one bank’s touchpoint (branch / BC / kiosk) within 5 km of the residential village in the district.
Another purpose of TFIIP was to ensure coverage with identified key performance indicators (KPIs) for financial inclusion in mission mode up to benchmark levels for bank accounts CASA, PMJJBY, PMSBY, and APY. ..
The meeting was informed that NITI Aayog has given the goal of strengthening the penetration of financial inclusion in mission mode in ambitious districts like Kupwara. The number of accounts / registrations achieved to achieve the benchmark under CASA is 1,129,328 accounts. There are 85,051 registered people under PMJJBY. Under PMSBY there are 2,63,743 registrants and under APY there are 25,118 beneficiaries.
In his speech, DDC emphasized to all stakeholders that they make every effort to achieve the goals set by the end of August this year. He asked them to work together, adding that mutual coordination between different units always paves the way for better results at the ground level.
Deputy Secretary of State Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Loan, ASP, Co-Director of Planning, Abdul Majid, ALC, DSWO, DIO and other relevant officers and bankers attended the meeting.
