COVID-19: The number of active cases has decreased to 74,735 in Kerala. 6,664 new cases, 281 deaths

In Kerala on Monday, 6,664 cases of fresh coronavirus and 281 associated deaths were recorded, increasing the number of cases to 49,12,789 and the number of casualties to 28,873. Of the 281 deaths, 53 were reported in the last few days, 219 were not confirmed until June 18, last year due to lack of proper documentation, and 9 were in the center’s new guidelines. Designated as COVID death after being appealed under the Supreme Court’s instructions, according to a state government announcement.

Since Sunday, 9,010 people have recovered from the virus, total recovery has reached 48,17,785, and active cases have dropped to 74,735, the release said.

As many as 61,202 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours.

Of the 14 districts, Ernakulam had the highest number at 1,168, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (909) and Column (623).

Of the new cases, 59 were health care workers, 20 were infected from outside the state, and 6,356 were infected by contact with the cause, which was not apparent in 229.

Currently, 2,65,995 people are under surveillance in various districts, of which 2,57,429 are in home or facility quarantine and 8,752 are in hospitals.
