According to official breaking news, the positive rate for new Covid-19 cases in Assam exceeded 1% for the second time in four days on Sunday, with six new deaths reported.
A total of 205 new coronavirus cases were registered in the state from 19,350 tests performed, bringing the total number of cases to 6,06,468, according to a breaking news issued by the Assam National Health Mission.
After reaching 1.53 percent on Thursday, the daily positive rate on Sunday was 1.06 percent. It was 0.93 percent on Friday and 0.82 percent on Saturday.
Six deaths were reported during the day, one less than the previous day’s figures. According to NHM breaking news, two deaths were registered in the Barpeta and Dibrugarh districts, and one death was recorded in the Kamlap Metropolitan and Kamlap Rural districts, respectively.
The total death toll for Covid-19 is currently 5,950, but the number of coronavirus patients who have died from other causes remains 1,347.
Of the new cases detected on Sunday, 68 were from Kamlap Metropolitan and 24 were from the Jorhart district.
As many as 245 patients were discharged throughout the state during the day, with 5,97,082 recovering and a recovery rate of 98.45 percent.
Currently, there are 2,089 cases active in the state.
In the past, the state, on the other hand, had been vaccinated with a rupee of 197 million. According to breaking news, 65,84,511 people are receiving both doses.
