Many of the planned models are long-awaited, and the list is very diverse, including SUVs, sedans, and even towing vehicles. Jaguar I-Pace represents the brand’s electric journey in India as the brand plans to be fully electrified by 2025.

The Jaguar I-Pace was the first all-electric SUV from an automaker and is now a very important product given the company’s decision to move to all-electric by 2025. I-Pace marks the beginning of JLR India’s electrical journey. It will be a newer model in the future. The I-Pace is available in three variations: S, SE and HSE, powered by two electric motors with an output of 389bhp and peak torque of 696Nm. The motor is equipped with a 90kWh lithium-ion battery pack that promises a 470km cruising range on a single charge. The price of Jaguar I-Pace is around 100 million rupees (in front of the showroom).

The BMW M340i is powered by a 387bhp and 500Nm 3.0-liter in-line 6-cylinder engine.

BMW India plans to further diversify its 3 Series lineup and next month will announce the more performance-friendly M340i version. The new BMW M340i, combined with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, enhances the standard 3 Series with many upgrades, including a larger 3.0-liter in-line 6 petrol engine that produces peak torque of 387bhp and 500Nm. The M340i also comes with an xDrive all-wheel drive system. This means that 0-100 kmph will provide more stable performance in 4.4 seconds. The price of the M340i can be around 500,000 rupees (in front of the showroom).

In 2021, Jeep Wrangler began on-site assembly at the brand’s Langjan Gaon facility in Maharashtra.

When the new generation Jeep Wrangler was launched in India last year, all assigned units were sold out and were a huge success. As a result, Jeep India has begun local assembly of the Wrangler in India in response to market demand. The locally assembled Wrangler is the same as the global spec model, but this time the tax is cheaper, so the price is cheaper. Off-road vehicles can draw power from the same 2.0-liter petrol engine with peak torques of 268bhp and 400Nm.

Skoda Kushaq is a rival of Hyundai Creta and is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform.

After a long wait, Skoda India will finally unwrap the production Kushaq SUV next month. This model will be first exhibited at the 2020 Auto Expo as the Vision IN concept and will be the company’s first product based on the MQB-A0-IN platform. The new model is a rival to Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta and will be available by mid-2021 with only a petrol engine under the hood. Volkswagen Taigun will participate later this year.

Another long-awaited model delayed due to the pandemic, the Mercedes-Benz A-Class limousine, will arrive by the end of March 2021 and will be available in the A 200, A 200d, and AMG A35 variants. The big update is that the AMG version will be made in India, which should be an aggressive price tag. The new A-Class limousine replaces the A-Class hatchback and CLA in Mercedes-Benz Twindia’s product portfolio, promising a sporty experience for young owners. The new A-Class L will be an interesting battle with the equally fun BMW 2 Series Grand Coupe.
