BCCI President Sulove Gangley tested negative for COVID-19 after having previously had a “mild” heart attack.

Kolkata: BCCI president and former Indian skipper Sulav Ghangri had a “mild” heart attack on Saturday and underwent a rapid “primary angioplasty” to clean the occluded coronary artery, but COVID- The doctor said 19 tests were negative.

“Mr. Gangley was negative on the COVID-19 test,” he said, adding that the test was done before the angioplasty was done.

The cricket icon is conscious and his condition is being monitored.

According to a doctor at Woodlands Hospital, he was diagnosed with an obstruction of three coronary arteries and then stented one to remove the obstruction.

The Ministry of Health requires hospitals to test patients for COVID-19 during hospitalization.
