Bangalore-based space technology startup Astrogate Labs raises pre-Series A funding led by Speciale Invest

Speciale Invest, with the participation of Anicut Angel Fund and others, worked on the vision of Astrogate Labs’ space heritage.

Astrogate Labs, a Bangalore-based space technology startup founded by Nitish Singh and Kedlaya in 2017, raised a confidential amount of money in a pre-Series A funding round led by Speciale Invest on November 24th. The funding round also saw participation from Anicut Angel Fund, SuprValue.vc, and existing investor FirstCheque.vc. The company aims to use this money to launch a flight terminal into space and achieve its major goal of building an entire chain of optical communication systems. Astrogate plans to build a space heritage in 2021.

Astrogate Labs commented on the funding, and co-founder and CEO Nitish Singh said: The current fundraising activity is a verification of our vision. We are overwhelmed by the trust investors have shown us. “

“Currently, space systems rely heavily on RF protocols for interplanetary, satellite-to-satellite, and space-to-ground communications. RF works, but it has limited bandwidth and is expensive. We are pleased to partner with Astrogate Labs, which believes it is disrupting the small satellite communications market by increasing it by more than 10 times and reducing costs by more than 10 times. The team has unique domain strength and tenacity. It’s combined with and saves space, “said Vishesh Rajaram, Managing Partner of Speciale Invest.
