Ashok Leyland has delivered the first lot of Light Bullet Proof Vehicles (LBPV) to the Indian Air Force. An Indian car company announced the same through a regulatory filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). According to the company, the Light Bullet Proof Vehicle (LBPV) is the adopted version of Lockheed Martin’s Common Vehicle Next Gen (CVNG), which was completely unique and developed in India. The introduced 6-ton armored vehicle will be adopted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) to enhance the security of the air force base. LBPV was developed under the Technology Transfer (TOT) from Lockheed Martin to Ashok Leyland.

The Light Bullet Proof Vehicle (LBPV) can handle six Gard commands.

These lightweight bulletproof vehicles have excellent protection and combat capabilities, making them ideal for military applications.
