Baghdad: An unidentified armed group killed at least 11 people and injured eight, including soldiers, in an attack on an Iraqi military garrison in western Baghdad, police and medics said Monday.
According to sources, four vehicle assailants used grenades and automatic rifles to attack the post in Arladwaniya, the southwestern part of the capital.
Iraqi troops said in a statement that a four-element “terrorist group” attacked a government-sponsored Sunni militia post, killing four and injuring three.
Police and police have launched an operation to search for attackers, police sources said.
