Washington: Amazon and Disney have announced a custom voice assistant called “Hay Disney” that will be available on echo devices installed at Walt Disney Resort locations. This piggybacks on Alexa’s skills.
According to The Verge, “Hey Disney” will eventually be used for customer service inquiries to help Disney World or Disneyland visitors find answers to park-specific questions. Disney says the new wake word “makes the Alexa experience more magical.”
There was no on-stage demo of the assistant, but it seems to work as expected. Users can say “Hey Disney” to ask questions such as “What time does the park open?”, “Where can I get Italian food?”, Or request more blankets for the resort room. increase.
The “Hey Disney” custom voice assistant is also available to those who are not staying at Disney Park. Amazon states that it can provide the jokes, fun facts, and over 1,000 “magical interactions” that Disney characters present.
According to The Verge, the skill will be available in 2022 and the price has not yet been shared. It’s free for anyone staying at Disney Park, but users have to pay to put it on their Echo device.
