Smartphone cameras have improved significantly since they were functionalized. Currently, there are cameras that exceed 100 megapixels. More megapixels don’t necessarily mean better images, but smartphone makers are in competition for numbers-they put the most megapixel cameras on their smartphones. According to a recent report, Lenovo-owned Motorola will be the first company to equip smartphones with a 200-megapixel camera early next year.
According to a recent report from China’s Talekomi Ice Universe, Motorola is the first camera to feature a 200-megapixel camera and is expected to arrive later next year. Following Motorola, Xiaomi will follow, and Samsung plans to equip smartphones with a 200-megapixel camera by 2023.

The 200-megapixel camera that Motorola is currently said to have on smartphones could be a Samsung lens. Earlier this year, the Korean giant announced the world’s first 200-megapixel smartphone camera sensor called the ISOCELL HP1. The ISOLCELL HP1 is equipped with a 1 / 1.22 inch sensor with a resolution of 200 megapixels and a native pixel size of 0.64 μm. The smartphone supports 2×2 and 4×4 pixel binning modes to increase light sensitivity in dark places.
In bright conditions, the ISOCELL HP1 is said to provide dynamic range and can record 30fps 8K video and 120fps frame rate 4K video over a wide field of view.
