New Delhi: The Andrews Ganj Road in southern Delhi will be named after the late actor Sushant Singhlagiput, as citizens’ groups in the area have approved the proposal.
Sushant, who was supposed to be 35 on Thursday, was found dead at his Bandra mansion in Mumbai on June 14, last year. His fans and fans used social media to remind them of an actor who died prematurely.
In September 2020, SDMC Parliamentary Councilor Abhishek Dutt moved the proposal to name the road after the actor.
“It was cleared by the SDMC House at yesterday’s meeting,” said a senior official.
BJP-led Councilor Andrews Ganj of the South Delhi Municipal Authority sent a proposal to the Road Naming and Renaming Committee of a citizen group.
In a written proposal to the Commission, Dat said that many people living in the area adjacent to Route 8 were hailing from Bihar, covering the range from Andrews Gandhi to Indira Camp “Sushant Singh Rajput. Marg’.
So it is proposed that road number 8 be named after the actor in his memory, Dat said.
