Satyameva Jayate 2
Director: Milpa Zaveli
Cast: John Abraham, Divya Khosla Kumar
Unsightly screenplays, bad screenplays, and lots of verbose conversations make Satyameva Jayate 2 the perfect recipe for a disaster. Like all his previous films, the film’s director, Mirap Zaveli, has a template for Masala in the 80’s, an item number (Nora Fatehi received a big “thank you” in the start credits), and a furious rhyme. There is composition, and an enthusiastic obsession. If that’s not enough, this Scatter Brainflick revolves around different body parts of the lead hero (John Abraham) and introduces you to different camera angles.
The only thing this and the previous article have in common is that both films are trying to combat corruption. Satyameva Jayate 2 collapses the moment it starts. From doctor strikes to food poisoning and oxygen deficiencies, to the death of children due to the collapse of flyovers, to the double crossing of Muslim patriotism and politicians, all the metaphors of the 70’s and 80’s work. .. There is a difference between patriotism and Jingoism. This also goes beyond Jingoism.
The vigilant movie John Abraham plays three roles (father and two sons). The two brothers have grown up to be interior ministers who want to pass anti-corruption bills, and the other is a nonsense police officer. One of them vigilants to tackle many of the problems facing society. The idea of Satyameva Jayate 2 is to keep up with the times, and you can regularly tear off the shirt on Abraham’s back to show off your muscular body.
There was a time in the 70’s and 80’s when B-grade cinemas embraced this theme and they did it quite well. In many of his interviews, Zaveli said this was his tribute to filmmakers like Prakarshmera and Mamohandesai. Sorry, this isn’t a compliment, but in fact you’re trying to question their filmmaking logic. Calling this complex mess a movie is sneaky because I saw school kids telling better stories for theatrical performances.
I don’t make many mistakes with Abraham — because he has little material to play with. Actors who can make sticky action visible, or can otherwise deposit in a bank, have effectively gone through the role of triple and still succeeded in being the best in the movie. I am. But again, what was the choice — Divya Khosla Kumar, who could hardly hold the fort. By the end of the movie, I felt like a few years had passed. I was also partially deaf because of the background music and the conversation. To be honest, it takes true courage to bravely confront this.
My biggest question is why Zaveli is known to make the most sticky films, but why did the producer decide to put the hard-earned money into this project? Please don’t watch this movie. Perhaps if the film doesn’t make an obscene amount of money, Zaveli will be forced to respect his audience a bit and not stop doubting their sensibilities.
