This was achieved because people who usually look for nicotine do so in a harmless way.

But while these numbers are important wins for consumers, the entire army of nicotine’s unscientific scapegoats undermines their success. This approach has dire consequences: fewer people switch to less harmful alternatives such as vaping, nicotine pouches, or heat-not-burn tobacco devices.

In the Philippines, additional categories of harm reduction are being legalized, but still failing to achieve the widespread adoption required.

So here are six reasons why you should stop nicotine demonstrations.

People consume nicotine but die from smoking
We should not encourage people to start using nicotine. However, health officials must stop smoking from switching to e-cigarettes and other alternatives. According to the United Kingdom National Health Service, “Nicotine is an addictive substance in cigarettes, but it is relatively harmless in itself. A study published in the scientific journal Drug and Alcohol Dependence in 2015 found that in the absence of tobacco smoke, the potential dependence on nicotine was very low. This means that most vapors experience much less addictive pressure than cigarette smokers.

Nicotine has medical benefits
Studies in the 1960s have shown low levels of Parkinson’s disease in smokers, and recent studies have established nicotine as the cause. The results showed that “men who used snus (a type of smokeless tobacco) without smoking had a significantly lower risk of Parkinson’s disease.” One of the reasons is the positive cognitive effect of nicotine, which has been shown in many studies.

Misunderstandings about nicotine hinder progress

Unfortunately, the general perception of nicotine is distorted. Fifty-seven percent of respondents to the US survey agreed with the statement that “nicotine in tobacco is the most cancer-causing substance caused by smoking,” and even 80% of doctors mistakenly believe that nicotine causes cancer. I believe in it. These misconceptions of the public and professionals have negative consequences because they distort the perception of vaping, which is 95% less harmful than smoking.

A recent review of the 755 case study on the general effects of vaping concluded that only 37 “meet accurate criteria for scientific quality.”

Ban never works
History has shown us that bans do not work, and that is one of the most overlooked lessons.
