The new generation Suzuki SX4 S-Cross (2022 Suzuki S-Cross) has finally been announced for the European market. Crossover SUVs cost £ 24,999 for entry-level motion variants and £ 29,799 for top-end ultra-trims. Suzuki’s Esztergom-based facility in Hungary will serve as a production hub for the new S-Cross. The new generation crossover model comes with a completely revised front fascia. It features a piano black grille, new bumpers, fine-tuned triple beam headlamps, and a newly designed fog lamp assembly. The hood looks more prominent than before. It also has a wide central air intake and faux kid plate.
The side profile is adorned with black body cladding, angular wheel arches with machined 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome-plated window lines, and body-colored door handles. The rear section is equipped with a slightly tuned bumper and a newly designed LED tail lamp, which are connected via a thick chrome bar. The motion trim comes with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that connects to a smartphone, while the Ultra model has a 9.0-inch unit with satellite navigation. Functions such as dual zone climate control, heated front seats, keyless entry, and LED headlamps are standard equipment throughout the model lineup. Ultra trim is only available on panoramic sunroofs, leather seating and 360 degree parking cameras.
The new 2022 Suzuki S-Cross comes with several driver assistance systems such as front and rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring. The new model has six color options: Silky Silver, Metallic Titan Dark Gray, Sphere Blue, Solid White, Energetic Red and Cosmic Black.
As mentioned earlier, the new S-Cross continues to draw power from the 1.4L turbo petrol engine with the 48V mild hybrid system. The motor produces a maximum output of 127bhp. It can do 0-62mph in 9.5 seconds and offers a top speed of 121mph. In a 4WD system, the crossover accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 10.2 seconds.
